Hiring Process

 

Below applicants will find the steps they will need to take to be able to join the Prairie Band Casino & Resort family. 

 

STEP ONE: FINDING THE RIGHT OPPORTUNITY

Navigate through our Applicant Tracking System (Kronos Website of Open Positions)

Applicants can browse through all available jobs, or use the search tool to look for a specific job.

Confirm the minimum qualifications are met and that the position is a good fit for the applicant.

STEP TWO: APPLY

After an applicant completes an online application, a member of the Talent Acquisitions team will contact the applicant within 24 – 48 hours. If the applicant has any questions, they are encouraged to contact the HR office at 785-966-7773.

 

STEP THREE: DEPARTMENTAL INTERVIEW

A leadership member of the department will perform the interview and ask a series of interview questions related to the open position.

What to expect:

  • The department interview will last around a half hour to an hour.
  • The applicant will need a valid form of I.D.
  • The applicant will need something that highlights their ability, such as a resume.

STEP FOUR: OFFER & ACCEPTANCE

If the applicant is extended an offer of employment, the applicant should come to property within 72 hours equipped with the following items:

  • Two Valid Forms of I.D (State Issue ID, Drivers License, Passport, Social Security Card, Tribal ID or Birth Certificate)

The applicant will receive a Gaming Disclosure Packet to fill out for their Gaming License. Applicants will also be scheduled for a drug test and physical (if applicable).  No longer testing for THC in select positions.

 

STEP FIVE: GAMING COMMISSION

WHY DO YOU NEED A GAMING LICENSE?

The Gaming Commission is a separate entity that determines suitability of potential Team Members based on character, finances, criminal history and risk to current Team Members and the company.

All gaming interviews are handled on an individual basis. Based on Category more information will be required.

What you will need for the gaming interview:

  • Three Forms of valid I.D. required (Birth Certification, State Issued ID and Social Security Card, along with a DD214 (if applies).
  • The applicant will need to provide ten years of work history and proof of residency.

Only after an applicant is granted a gaming license, we recommend the applicant to provide a two-week notice at their current place of employment.

 

STEP SIX: NEW HIRE ORIENTATION

New Hire Orientation is a two-day on-site paid orientation. New Hire Orientations take place each week from Monday – Tuesday and is from 9:00am to 4:00pm each day. Business professional attire is required.
